Let’s Get Creative!

With such lovely pieces hanging in your closet, it only makes sense to get creative with all the different possible combinations! So, we decided to put on our creative thinking hats and paired some of our favorite items with pieces that we had yet to try together. Here are some of the unique looks from our own Wildflower closet while we had fun with different prints, colors, styles and textures!

Say GOODBYE to the classic black & white look and HELLO this fresh mix of neutral colors and prints. 

I just love everything about this look. There are so many details that make it complete: the striped tank peeking through the shoulder of the sweater, the beautiful floral lace showing through the back, the pants with just the right about of print and the fabulous statement jewelry. And the cherry on top of it all? Connie says “the pants are extremely comfortable with a light and silky feel.”

Combine comfort and style with a staple skirt and a bit of shimmer.

You know those pieces that look so much better on than hanging on the hanger? This skirt is one of those pieces. The hanger does not give it justice – really. It is absolutely adorable and so utterly comfortable that I could keep it on forever! It is typically worn with a top from the same collection, but I slipped on this crop sweater with a metallic shimmer and it was a match made in heaven.

Statement jacket + detailed sequined top = a SUPER statement 

If you look closely, you may notice the incredible detail in this blouse. The sequined overlay pairs perfectly with the textured jacket and brings in a little shimmer. The scalloped hem completes the whole look with its feminine touch.

Lighten up an all-black outfit by combining a variety of fabrics and accessories. 

If you are a loyal reader of our blog, you may have seen this skirt once or twice (or three times). The reason for it is pretty simple – we love how versatile it is! We added this beautiful lace top for an airy and elegant feel. I am scarf-obsessed, so I always try to find some way to incorporate them into my outfit. I think it pulls a little color into the black combination without looking out of place.

Layer two unique pieces to create a “wow” outfit (and add a splash of pink!) 

We took two beautiful pieces in Wildflower and combined them to make an even more beautiful outfit! The lace jacket by Frascara peaks out of their stunning floral jacket and adds another dimension to the whole look. I especially love how it creates a double flared sleeve. Connie paired it with pink pants to bring out the accents in the jacket – a delicate statement.

Mixing prints in all the right ways!

So. Much. Fun. Who likes combining prints? I know I do! Perhaps a little too much sometimes…. But this outfit is the perfect balance of mix-matched designs, without going over board. It can be hard to dictate whether mixing certain patterns is too much, or just right. I usually make sure to combine a large print with a small print, instead of combing the same size designs together. This makes the outfit less busy and more interesting!
